Four Years

Rhys and I celebrated our fourth dating anniversary last night.
He took me to dinner at Customs House and we went for a walk along the river and looked up at the wedding being held that night. I cannot believe that there is really only 10 months to go. I love going there I forget how breath taking it is.
Anyway back to our anniversary, flowers, gifts and dinner at our reception venue, does life get any sweeter?

Celeb wedding 5: E is for Eva

Eva Longoria and Tony ParkerOn July 7, 2007 (07/07/07) Eva Longoria wed San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker during a lavish wedding in the City of Love. The couple was pronounced man and wife at the historic Saint Germain l'Auxerrois church in Paris in front of 200 guests. Famous friends like Jessica Alba, Ryan Seacrest and Longoria's Desperate Housewives cast mates stood witness as the happy couple said their I do's and threw a raucous reception to celebrate.

**photos and some of the text taken from In style weddings.

Usually I role my eyes at fussy wedding dates, especially last year with the 08/08/08 which was lucky for the Chinese so it's cool if they wanted that date. But for regular Aussies I didn't understand it. As a child did you really think that the number 8 was lucky? Or for that matter 10/10/10. Rhys said it could have been cool, you know with binary and all. But did 10 mean anything to you? Was it lucky?
No. It was always the number 7, which is why I do like the date Eva got married on.

The photos include the lovely pink dress (Chanel I believe) that she did the pre-wedding festivities in. The the venue in France and wedding shots.

Cakes, Cakes, CAKES!

Hi
An obsession at the moment it the ideal cake.
One that suits 'us' as a couple but is not too expensive. (I am rolling my eyes as I write that, everything's been done in wedding land and is way more expensive than you would expect.)

First we have the stargate wedding cake. (Rhys loves stargate and this couple are our his hero).

My nickname in late high school was Yoda.

I love the nintendo cakes and the disney ones too.

Celeb wedding 4: D is for Diana

I have had people, those who were alive to watch this event, tell me that they remember watching this and thinking that her dress was BEAUTIFUL.
So 80's.

Right now

Hi,
I haven't blogged in ages!
Honestly, I got a bit sick of the internet, I still have no plans to log on to facebook until July.

I'm sitting at home alone, Rhys has gone to a concert with my brother. I'm so glad they have music in common.

In the last week or so...

In the last week I've recovered from being very sick. On the last day of the flu/whatever it was, I couldn't get down the hall without a bucket and Rhys needed to give me IM maxolon, which finally stopped the vomitting! (Lovely).

I'm a Redcross volunteer (this is not new), I don't think I've mentioned that yet. I work with adults with high level needs, we do sensory activities. It's pretty good fun, it's something to do between locums, actually it means a lot to me. I went to a meeting at Redcross at Milton. Good times. We did an activity on what was stressing us out at that point in time. Mine was covered in wedding/honeymoon related pictures. Dork!

I start my next locum in a week! It almost doesn't feel real! It's been a few weeks since my locum at TPCH.

I'm all over the place about the wedding. I can go from freaking out about have I choosen *the perfect dress* to laid back *can't someone else do it* in a day.
It still doesn't feel real!

Oh the money. We're SO lucky that my mum is awesome and letting us live at her new house, we would have NO money if it weren't for her.

We've started talking about our honeymoon, I started trying to do a rough idea, found some maps and websites. But got completely overwhelmed!
6 months, around the world. Where the hell do you start?!

This month is our fourth dating anniversary. FOURTH! Everytime I've written that down this year I've looked at it and thought no. But yes 2005 is when we started dating. It took the bum two months to ask me out! So many people told me he wasn't worth it. But I knew he was.

Rhys's dad is getting married again this month.
I was not surprized. I told Rhys, after dinner with his dad and the lovely lady he is marrying, at the end of last year that they would get married. I could just tell.
Plus she was still wearing rings on her ring finger.
His dad seemed distressed about getting married 'before us.'
We both just want everyone to be happy.
